Ernest Ll Rees
Ernest Llewelyn Rees was born in Madagascar in 1898. He was son of the Rev. D. M. Rees and Mrs. L. S. Rees, of 60, Lady Margaret Rd., Southall, Middlesex. In 1911 he was living at 50 Clive Place, Penarth with his uncle, Albert Howard Trow and is described as being British by parentage. Ernest served in “B” Battery. 113th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery with the rank of Second Lieutenant. He was killed in action on 22nd October 1918 aged 21 and is buried at A. 6., Stasegem Communal Cemetery.
