Albert Morgan
Albert Morgan was born in Penarth in 1893, the son of Albert and Ellen Maria Morgan (nee Sederman). In 1911 he was living with his father, stepmother Frances and siblings Ethel, Sidney and Dorothy at 15 Salop Street. He worked as a boot maker. Albert served in the Mercantile Marine as an Assistant Cook aboard SS “Joseph Chamberlain” and died aged 24 on 18th September 1917 when his ship was attacked by an enemy submarine. His parents were married in 1890 and his mother died in 1897. His father married Frances Drewe in 1900.
