Albert Edwin Gray
Albert was born in Penarth and in 1911 was living at 52 Arcot Street with his parents Edwin and Hannah Gray and siblings Frederick and Olive. He served in the 1st Battalion, the King’s (Shropshire Light Infantry) with the rank of Private (service number 27420). Albert died of wounds and mustard gas on 1st May 1918 aged 21 and is buried in IX. B. 1., Boulogne Eastern Cemetery. He formerly served in the Welch Regiment (service number 25099) after enlisting in the Bantams.
