George H Love
George Henry Love was the son of William and Fanny Love and brother of Elizabeth and Edith. In 1911 the family lived at 12 Ludlow St, Penarth. George served in “C” Battery. 50th Brigade, the Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery and his rank was Gunner (service number W/2106). He died of wounds on 30th October 1918 or 31st October 1918 aged 22 and is buried at IX. B. 5., Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille. He is also commemorated on grave C181 in Penarth Cemetery and on St Paul’s Roll of Honour.
