The Penarth Christmas Tree Festival took place on 10th and 11th December in St Augustine’s Church.
The Festival was opened by the Penarth Town Mayor, Cllr Mike Cuddy on Saturday 10th December. Around 1,800 people visited the Festival in spite of the poor weather on the Saturday
On the Sunday evening there was a concert by the Cardiff Polyphonic Choir.
All profits from the Festival will go the nominated charities. This year the charities to benefit are Barnardo’s, Cymru; Making Music, Changing Lives (Ely) and the Kotu Trust (Gambia). The final amount to go to each charity is not yet certain but should be a little over £1,000.
