Roll of Honour
The Roll of Honour was the Great War memorial for Penarth. It contained the names of most of those who died and was for men of all faiths and none. There are 100 names not on this memorial. Those men are honoured on the War Memorial in Alexandra Park.
After the Second World War the Roll was extended to honour the Penarth men who died in the conflict.
Books about the history of the Roll of Honour and the lives of the men who died because of WW1 are on display in the church. If you have any information you would be willing to share about any of the men on the Roll of Honour, please contact Kathleen Guy on 02921 152723.
