An audience of 52 members of The Friends and guests gathered in St Augustine’s at 7pm on 11th November to hear a dramatic reading of Coleridge’s famous poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, by Richard Parry and clarinettist Uwe Doenitz.
This is the second time Richard and Uwe have performed this reading, the first being during one the Open Church and Churchyard days.
St Augustine’s Church is the perfect setting for this atmospheric reading and it was very well received.
This was the last of the autumn series of events organised by The Friends and all have been well attended and enjoyed.
