C Vyvyan-Robinson
Courtney (Courtenay) Vyvyan-Robinson was born in Penarth and was baptised on 22nd October 1886, the son of Philip Augustus Vyvyan-Robinson, a merchant, and Susan Kate Frances Vyvyan-Robinson. In 1891 he was living with his parents and brothers Arthur, Cecil and Hugh in Marine Parade. In 1901 he was a boarder at Netley Court School, Hampshire and in in 1911 was a civil engineer boarding at the home of Thomas and Agnes Williams of 147 Albany Road, Cardiff. Courtney served in 156th Siege Battery, the Royal Garrison Artillery with the rank of Major. He died on 22nd January1919 aged 32 and is buried at D. 3., Ascq Communal Cemetery.
