Rupert A Hoult
Rupert Alexander (or Alexander Rupert) Hoult was born in Penarth in 1893, and was the brother of Douglas and Percical. In 1911 he was an assistant butcher and was boarding with the Prosser family at 34 Windsor Road, Penarth. Rupert served in Territorial Force./”A” Battery. 331st Brigade, the Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery with the rank of Gunner (service number 707235). He died of pneumonia on 4th July 1918 following gas and then suffering from influenza and is buried at I. D. 38., Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille.
